Counterparts - "Tragedy Will Find Us"

You've got to hand it to Counterparts for quite possibly being one of the most active bands out there. 4 solid LPs since Prophets in 2010? Who are these guys? Iron Maiden? But seriously folks, Counterparts' efforts are not to be overlooked, not that they're easily dismissed, but on Tragedy Will Find Us, it's much more of the same solid pack-for-punch melodic hardcore ala Misery Signals and Gideon. You always know what you're going to get with these guys: solid production, great songwriting, and wild unabashed lyrical expressions. They're a testament to the fact that if you keep chipping away at the old block and stay together for the kids, there's a great likelihood that you will eventually be recognized by the national hardcore community. They started out as a tiny band on a blog and lately have earned some serious respect alongside highly influential rosters. Alongside Hundredth and Architects, leave it to Counterparts to revolutionize and revive a jaded scene by merging barebones hardcore with the youth metal community. That trio of bands hails much stronger than The Ghost Inside in my opinion and I forecast them to soon inherit the crown, representing what could have happened had Malice era Mis Sig managed to break the barrier. Again, it's another one that should not be overlooked.
