We've come to expect this level of quality from all credible beatdown acts, but Forms absolutely destroys on their collection of demonic anthems. The standout feature has to be the clever lyrics and the patterns in which they're delivered. Some of the grooves are almost as infectious as the licks that were found on some of A Life Once Lost's earlier work that totally set the bar for all metal acts that were soon to follow. Maybe the title track is a bit silly in the riff department, but other than that everything stands up to par. Although not entirely djent, Forms are a creative blend of rough housing hardcore and metal, with some elements of deathcore sprinkled about, but I would just go with Jasta's "loud amps in the face" standard that The Lost total embraces.
