Magrudergrind "II"

Magrudergrind have one of those names that most people will pass over, expecting some black metal outfit to burn their speakers with too much treble. To my surprise this Relapse hopeful is full of punk and hardcore elements that make their grindcore extremely approachable.
While definitely not for the faint of heart, Magrudergrind provide an accessible way for many metal and punk fans to cross over into grind. The album presents itself much like a Locust release, with the blast beats often mashing the vocals as they both match the same intensity.
While the album doesn't make the twenty minute mark, it leaves a lasting impression that resonates well past its duration. If you haven't managed to get into the grind scene and need a way in, Magrudergrind is the way to go and may just be your new gateway.
