Aborted have been one of the most efficient bands in grind metal death. Their ability to pump out record after record with persistent excellence is truly worth noting. Ever since Strychnine every album has pushed the limits of possibility to new boundaries.
Picking up where Termination Redux left off, Retrogore is more of the same ruthless pummeling of endless double bass grooves and surgeon like riffage from the rhythm department. The vocals have only improved in age, and again we find one of the best death metal performances since their prior release.
Bands like Carnifex and Fit For An Autopsy have a lot to learn from these masters, and it's time Aborted took the crown from the legendary but stale Cannibal Corpse and Six Feet Under.
