Head Wound City "A New Wave Of Violence"

The Blood Brothers have always been quite an anomaly for anyone familiar with the band, and The Locust are certainly one of those acts that always operated in a league of their own. While not "hardcore" in the traditional sense of the genre, their ethic and approach has always been associated with the punk scene and has been side by side with bands from both scenes, while always maintaining their own methods of operation.
Head Wound City are exactly what you'd expect when you combine members from both acts and mash them up with a sprinkle of Nick Zinner from Yeah Yeah Yeahs. A mind boggling record, that's just as brutal as anything else these vets have ever done and as original as the groups they sprouted from. Great to see art sustainment throughout all these years.
