THE RECENTLY ADDED

Helmet "Dead To The World"

What better way to wreck a legacy than by pumping out the most absurd albums of your entire career miles away from anything relevant in your catalogue? While album opener "Life Or Death" makes this album feel like a necessary release, the rubbish that follows is so laughable and cringe worthy that it's impossible not to wonder why the producers didn't stop Hamilton at the demos.
There's a whole bunch of terrible ideas that are given an opportunity to flourish here, and none worse than "Green Shirt," mirroring a President of U.S.A. type of mockery that was always hinted at with Helmet but never actually fully realized. At the end of it all, this one won't be forgettable for those that listen to it, but those lucky enough to overlook it will leave a charmed legacy untainted.
