Axis & Seraph The Light "Split"

Very interesting collaboration which has the two bands rocking out together. There's some great footage of them performing in unison online, and it's totally worth spending time watching. Meanwhile the actual tracks themselves are superb. Droning riffs and buzz saw guitars roar freely, while loud bellows bark over a sound production. "Process" is something that sounds like it could've been found on the later half of Poison The Well's catalogue and the tracks know how to develop themselves and build on simple concepts and still come off with intensity. While not as aggressive and full of alarm clock riffs like Axis' prior work, the mood and tones set together on this split are very much them and drive dark undertones in the surprisingly long run time of closer to thirty minutes on just four tracks.
