Those Who Fear "State Of Mind"

On their third outing, Those Who Fear continue their angst driven campaign, this time with more tricks and flare than ever before. Album opener rocks steady with cute effects, while "Ten Years" keeps up with the tremolo Sevendust style, only with more panache and color than on prior albums. There's enough shotgun cocking on the album to blow your head off, but it plays out nicely in a buttery collection of tracks that sync well with each other. While certainly not as convincing and brutal as their debut, this is much more cohesive than Death Sentence and brings to mind the sounds of Bury Your Dead when they resurrected their sound on Beauty And The Breakdown. This one's super fun.
