AFI "AFI (The Blood Album)"

This band just continues to dilute their sound more and more with each release, hardly taking any steps to reignite energy in their catalogue and reinvigorate their legacy. The whole album plays super soft and can almost be background music for any engagement. It feels like spaghetti sauce that just got splashed with three cups of water. The vocals are soothing and the drums flow like aged wine in the background. With this kind of action, you'd think there would be some epic breakthrough or ballad to capitalize on the band's smooth as silk production, but instead the album just sort of wanders off and out the room like a silent poodle. What's the deal with this band?
