Jasta "The Lost Chapters"

After having introspective insight to the frontman of Hatebreed on his podcast, it's obvious to understand the direction of the man's output. Many of the tracks are aimed for commercial success and sound ready for an MMA walkout or a Cruisin' USA cartridge game. This collection is tried and true rock formula, from the frontman himself, perhaps amongst a mixed personnel, that mirror's much of the second half of Hatebreed's catalogue. While Jasta may be tuned a bit higher, with Jamey straining his vocals in a slight variety of directions rarely found on a Hatebreed record, the brand of metal and the consistent sound him and Zuess have been so focused to produce (in both bands) is casting his sound in a stale shell that perhaps started to present itself after Supremacy.
