It seems that Oceano manages to get crazier, and crazier, and wilder and wilder with every release. On their fifth collection the album finds the band in refined form picking up where Ascendants left off. Adam's vocals are as devastating as ever, with his signature subhuman gutturals displaying in wonder. This lineup also sees the band in their finest presentation. Perhaps it's finally a group of dudes who understand the band's vision and unique presence in the deathcore space. The grooves are infectious and the drums finally sound like they're being executed by a mortal man. While Thy Art Is Murder and Chelsea Grin remain two of the bigger names in the scene, here's to hoping the right exposure gets the band to the new heights they deserve.
