Currents "The Place I Feel Safest"

While the band's last EP certainly  garnered the group a bit of attention, Currents still felt like a regular metalcore band blahing their way through their tracks like another August Burns Red rip off. But on their latest, and robust full length, these guys transform their execution to elite standards and showcase a sound barely hinted at until now. Riffs soar in augmented bursts of energy, exploding through the soundscape alongside precise rhythm synergy with the drums and bass. It's all quality stuff here people and doesn't overstay its welcome even though the album lurks past the fifty minute mark.
