It's blast beats from the get-go and Brooklyn's Tombs come soaring with aggression on their latest release. The band knows how to heighten their aggression and increase the intensity on their sludge loaded approach, and they finally sound more like a death metal band, than another Clutch decoy. Album opener "Black Sun Horizon" brings to mind Burst and their efforts on Prey On Life blending solid rock groove with thrash tendencies. This is definitely a step up for the band.
