Bermuda "Nepenthe"

It's alarming that the band has landed absolutely zero notoriety in their tenure, and it's almost offensive just how little the band has been able to accomplish considering the fact that they've toured the U.S. a dozen times over and unleashed three of the most thought provoking metal albums of the past ten years. Nepenthe finds the band grinding the elements the band began to explore on their latest release, sprinkled amongst their djent fused brutality. There's a little more melody here than before, but the record definitely stays focused at scraping the auditory senses and dismantling the average listening experience. Bermuda may not be doing themselves a favor, but their persistence is certainly appreciated for those of us who can differentiate the sensational from the common sound.
