Decapitated "Anticult"

Leveraging their already robust reputation, the Polish masters of brutal death metal beat up the auditory landscape with ferocity. This one is a blend between Meshuggah's debut and a thrash kick of intensity, to make for one of the band's most punishing releases. It's odd to see the band still kicking off rosters, or playing to two or 300 person rooms, when Behemoth and Meshuggah can easily pack rooms triple the size. Could it be marketing? Or is the product just not that effective? Whatever it is, Decapitated is here to change that perception for good, and create interest that wasn't apparent prior to this latest album, which seems to be the most accessible record of their catalogue.
