THE RECENTLY ADDED

PVRIS "All We Know Of Heaven, All We Need Of Hell"

Easily being worked up as one of the next up and coming headliners, PVRIS is a band that's been oddly sandwiched with recent packages alongside alternative punk and pop acts like Bring Me The Horizon, Sleeping With Sirens, and Pierce The Veil. While PVRIS is obviously a pop group with a band, they've struggled to find a home while standing out on their own, and their latest tour with Muse and Thirty Seconds To Mars is a little more fitting then even packages with Issues and Emarosa.
The band's sound is a little stale, with Lynn Gunn being the main focal point if the group's performance. I spent three listens looking for that "big hook," and then ended up turning to Neck Deep for comfort instead. Lyndsey Gunnulfsen certainly has a ton of talent, but perhaps what happened with Gwen Stefani needs to happen here. Only time will tell, but it's obvious there isn't a whole lot of substance here, and the vocal coos can only go so far.
