Just when The Contortionist leave the door wide open for the djent overlords to takeover, this progressive act pulls it together and comes swinging with another collection that sends a brand of galactic metal aggression out of the cosmic competition. The Voynich Code are in a league of their own. The band is so musically gifted that it's almost a distraction at times, as they twist and disassemble and then pull it together to write complex, math metal type tech metal that brings to mind early Protest The Hero and The Human Abstract. It's a true standout act that deserves getting the support they need to get to the next level.
