The Black Dahlia Murder “Nightbringers”

The lords of death metal consistency reign supreme with another collection of ruthless tracks that aim to toss ear lobes into nearby blenders. The shredding is insistent and the drumming is practically inhuman, packing in a super tight metal record that clocks in barely over thirty minutes. The vocal variety for this genre seems to be a standout here, with Trevor alternating well between highs and lows to make for an animated listen. It’s a true joy seeing this band become a career act, and having them release such an impressive and punctual record this far into their career cements the relevance of such intensity and execution in the genre.
