One of the most chaotic forces in aggressive hardcore is back at it, this time with a concise release that snarls until its end. Ben Koller seems to be an extremely productive individual, with Mutoid Man on tour, at the same time Converge released another record, all while working on the collective of this release. His contributions to the extreme music community certainly exceed the common man’s expectations, and his work on this release is absolutely devastating. There are a few moments where the record takes a step back, and gives some breathing room roughly halfway through, but it’s really just to open a room to air it out of the intense variety of brutality the band seems to have captured on tape. This one may be one of the year’s best.
