Poison The Well, Thrice, and most recently Hundredth, and The Plot In You, have all done what Pianos Become The Teeth have done here and shifted their focus on a new sound, away from their angst ridden foundational glory days to set their visions much higher and hone in on a clean, polished, alternative approach. This is all good stuff here too. The soft, paper thin angle works for the band, and they’re able to churn out some pretty memorable stuff. It’ll be up to the scene to decide whether they’ll accept the band in their new form, or if this will cater to an entirely different audience that may catapult the band to heightened success. This sound may help the band cast a wider net to get the exposure they need.
