The brash, chaotic wailing packed with ripped production, insane blasts and off-the-cuff breakdowns presented on this record combat anything modern day Converge has unleashed from their arsenal. The sludge may linger a bit too long at times, but the overall display of emotion dripping from each sliding finger on the fretboard side by side with a steady execution on the drums package quite the ruthless listen. Just scope “4 1/2” for good measure, which rings sound like a Swarm Of The Lotus b-side, and walk away unscathed.
