Filth “The Burden Of Isolation”

The lords of downtempo continue to deliver their sludgy doom packed sound in this collection of wretched animosity. While Chugcore promotions seems to have stopped promoting this stuff somewhere in mid 2017, Filth continue their journey to try and capture the crown of the beatdown community. There’s a few moments that spark true intrigue when the vocalist hones in on unique elements that exploit a variety of cadence and singing approaches that at times resemble Jonathon Davis and bring Korn’s earlier work to mind. Otherwise, this may be a bit of a droning listen even for those who are exclusively looking for aggro gym flare to pump iron to.
