It’s been a long ride for the band and through their journey they have somehow shed the image of a gore-based shock-for-value type act and emerged as the lords of extreme, technical, brutal death metal. Early in the band’s career the act was plagued by their intense artwork and horrifying imagery that perhaps kept deserving ears from entertaining the act as a contender. Somewhere after Strychnine.213 the band started to breakaway from the theme, and eventually found themselves selling out shows alongside The Black Dahlia Murder and Fit For An Autopsy. Aborted write incredible songs full of wild leads, soaring melodies, capturing the most intense drumming performance executed by mortal man, and know how to pull it off live flawlessly. Their latest record highlights their abilities and also cements them as the proper metal headliner for extreme acts in the scene.
