With Skiba gracing headlining stages across the globe aside Blink-182, it’s hard to imagine he had any time at all to put this together, but suddenly a new Alkaline Trio record drops and it’s like “well, obviously he did, I suppose.” The hooks are as infectious as ever, and the band sounds a lot like Bayside on the opening track (and a few thereafter), but the band sounds fresh, energized and amped up to stay relevant, almost twenty years since some of their notable Warped appearances. It seems like legacy acts keep coming out of the woodwork to ensure they continue to showcase to the new school how things still need to get done.
