Black Peaks really transformed on their second release. Their last release saw them as an Every Time I Die of sorts that was always hanging on by a thread but always seemingly managed to keep it together. Their sophomore release finds the band going about-face and doing a complete 180 and writing big lush songs that are epic in run time and worth the journey. It’s a bit much for such a young band. This could’ve been perhaps the band’s sixth or seventh record, but good for them, and here’s to hoping their new evolution will give them the notoriety the my deserve.
