Regardless of where in their story telling saga the band may be (as sacrilegious as it is to their diehard fans), the band have fallen off the songwriting deep end in recent years and have finally started to rise from their stale delivery to do what Coheed does best. Write sensational music that’s emotional and deep with meaning. Their latest opus finds Claudio and the boys in top form, staying humble, and writing a batch of songs that drive a journey of a listen that makes sacrificing over an hour’s worth of time justified. This is the best record the band has released since IV.
