The metalcore presented here could honestly have been found on Gideon’s debut, or perhaps a We Came As Romans b-side, which to Vessels may be a compliment, but for those of us on the sidelines, is really just another band on a list of extended decoys that have come to the plate with the same offering, to simply fade into the mist. Good for Vessels, who seem to be huge fans of the scene they’re dabbling in, but for a board that aims to highlight what’s next to catapult, this EP is a little forgettable.
