THE RECENTLY ADDED

Born Of Osiris “The Simulation”

It’s hard to imagine the group is celebrating their sixth release. Ever since the band hit the scene with The New Reign, each record showcased an advanced evolution of their sound, with each member progressing in skillset and highlighting new technical prowess catapulting their legitimacy as true metal pioneers. However, this time around the band delivers a tried-and-true formula, hardly taking a leap like they did on The Discovery or Soul Sphere, and aside from “Analogs In A Cell,” there really isn’t anything on here we haven’t heard from the band before. While the band doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon, this seems like another batch of tracks to keep the act fresh on the road, and showcase a new merch line to drive enthusiasm for their brand. It’s going to take a lot more for the band to get out of their Gramercy Theatre level ranks and into headliner capacity, and here’s to hoping they take an active interest in rising in the league, instead of photocopying their phone bill a thousand times and dishing it out to the masses.
