Bringing to mind youth filled alternative like Saves The Day and early Bayside, Hot Mulligan are on the verge of pop punk and what The Menzingers were trying to accomplish on their recent release. Some of the lyrics cater to a very young audience, or maybe it’s just the over saturation of this theme over the years that’s diluting Hot Mulligan’s efforts. Whatever the case may be, with recent stints alongside Knocked Loose and Harms Way, the band is finding solid footing alongside some of the undergrounds most prominent rock community and with a strong work ethic, can rise to appropriate ranks on top of a variety of rosters.
