THE RECENTLY ADDED

Bloodline “Better View”

Hard to believe it’s the same band that gave us 2015’s III, and while the same underlying anger and passion is prevalent, the songwriting has definitely been beefed up in artillery. There’s multiple angles at play here, with melodies soaring into the varying corners of the record, and they’re all sandwiched between a tough-guy Atilla-esque execution. It’s obvious for those of us who’ve been on the hunt since the 90’s that this peels away at nu-metal tendencies. But Relative Ash, Lifer, Factory 81, Shuvel, or even newcomers Rise Of The Northstar (or countless others) can just be thrown into the fire with hardly any level of depth that’s been packaged here.
