THE RECENTLY ADDED

Hate Force “Hate Force”

The sluggish doom sound works, sure, if there weren’t countless unsigned bands in New Jersey making this sloppy crap sound delicious in the studio. There’s no urgency to the record and I don’t see these guys as jumping out of the screen and into your living room to compensate for the record’s monotony, as the frontman really hasn’t shown much charisma as the vocalist for Harms Way (that guy really needs to speak to the crowd and command it) and just sort of grooves and punches the air every so often as his method of getting into it. It’s doom, it’s metal, it’s crusty, it’s whatever really. Definitely forgettable. 2019 is off to a super slow start with more and more uninspired metal collabs being packaged and produced our way.
