Boston Manor “GLUE”

Wow. Just wow. The songwriting here is some of the best I’ve heard in a long, long time. The anthems, the hooks, the ballads, the alternative rock coos, the bubblegum, it’s just absolutely overwhelming. At first it was the smash hit “Liquid” towards the end of the record that kept clawing at my ears. But then on second and third listens jams like “Plasticine Dreams” bring Darker My Love vibes and the obvious grunge influence of Alice in Chains on “Only1” simply cannot be overlooked. The album has a solid punch with heavy strums and top notch production that’s justifiably exposed in heightened form on “Brand New Kids.” This one ranks high as a definite contender for AOTY.
