THE RECENTLY ADDED

Carnifex “Graveside Confessions”

Eight albums into their career, Carnifex deliver the same album we’ve heard since “Die Without Hope.” Besides the Korn cover, there’s really nothing new here the band hasn’t already addressed in their almost twenty years as an active deathcore band. And that’s fine. It’s brutal, it’s groovy, and it’s certainly another installment. And what do we expect the band to do? Soar with ballads? Deliver harmonies? Intensify their leads? It’s hard to tell where this formula has any room to expand, but it’s really just another slab of the same material we’ve heard countless times before.
