This is some fun ass hardcore. Gel showcases that it’s really all about authenticity, being genuine, and straightforward. There’s not really much that makes this a standout release, besides the fact that the riffs are crispy and the EP is a quick eleven minutes. Not saying I can see this go on endlessly to orchestrate a career, but Gel are definitely refreshing the same way Faim and Scowl managed to be.
