After 2020’s “Power Through Terror” there was hope for the band to really shift the landscape and elevate the game of metalcore for all second tier bands that didn’t fall into the modern day hardcore revival (ie; Sanction, Vein, Knocked Loose, etc.). While this is a brief EP, it’s really only on the last two tracks where GAG rises from mediocrity and highlights their songwriting strength. Without flexing those muscles, the songs fall flat with childish, cliché lyrics (“Careful what you wish for, you fucking cowards,” etc.) and compositions we’ve been battered with over and over again.
