I’ll admit this was the first Godflesh record I ever had the pleasure of giving a full front to back listen to uninterrupted at the gym. So deep, lush, and full of dark soundscapes from what feels like a real band. Some parts droned on for quite a bit, but nothing so over the top that took the album past its modest forty four minute runtime. Cool, gloomy alternative shoegaze-esque strum rock with pounding drums and hardly any vocals.
