Hard to believe it’s been eight years since “Self Portrait.” Even harder for me to believe that it’s been eleven since “I.V.” and that one show me and Joey got trashed in at The Acheron. Either way, Loma Prieta is an incredibly fascinating band that writes some great shades of atmospheric metallic avant-garde metal. While their latest doesn’t debut any new tricks, it does latch another fine chapter of excellence onto the band’s legacy.
