While deathcore seems to be shifting it’s focus towards some strange napoleon complex, the brutal technical outfit dish up a blend of chuggy riffs and noodly wankery while managing to salvage integrity in their output. While guitars and leads sore, it’s the drum performance and vocal delivery on these things that will always make or break a release, and CM do just enough to stay on the right path of relevancy as they work to make a name for themselves in an impossible niche genre, twenty years after its meteoric expansion.
