I love the warm, hearty production on this, and the band’s gone full Gothenburg which is super rad, and the vocals are masterfully executed. But jeez, doesn’t this album already exist in the archives of the vast Century Media catalog? Like, I get being a fan of what you love, but it’s really exhausting to listen to this stuff endlessly over the years and be so jaded. But I guess this is what happens as you get older. You just turn into that crazy guy walking down New York City with Duane Reade bags stuffed with more Duane Reade bags screaming to yourself about the way things used to be. Not a bad thrill, just another notch in the heavy metal arsenal though. (That’s a Marc Maron bit up there, by the way).
