THE RECENTLY ADDED

Orthodox “A Door Left Open”

A superb addition to what is already a magnificent metal catalog full of out of the box breakdowns and compressed drums that punch you repeatedly in the face. An absolutely insane drum performance is delivered on both “Sacred Place” and “Keep Your Blessings” as if band backbone Mike White just finished a shift as the backup to the Octopus that performs full time for the bottom of the ocean’s satanic death metal band. There’s not really much that goes wrong here besides a few monotonous bits and the head turning Brann Dailor vocal moment. But in an album that barely scratches over thirty minutes, that’s hardly worth mentioning. This is a significant milestone in the band’s career and a pat on the back for their producer and the ongoing evolution of this genre.
